The X factor US 2013 winners

" "X Factor" announced its Season 3 winner on Thursday evening's finale after two hours of stars singing new songs and the Top 3 finalists performing Christmas songs.
It came down to Jeff Gutt (representing the Over 25s category) and Alex & Sierra (the last remaining member of the Groups category). After the two acts performed the John Newman hit "Love Me Again," they were brought out to stand with their mentors, Kelly Rowland (Over 25s) and Simon Cowell (Groups). After an agonizing half-minute, host Mario Lopez announced that Alex & Sierra were the Season 3 "X Factor" (USA) winner." Congratulations for them :) hopefully we'll hear a lot of great songs from them and hopefully they'll stay together a long long time :) I honestly liked Jeff more just because I love rock music but I think he'll do just fine :) Can't wait for his album too :)

THE WINNER! SHE DESERVED IT! :)

Jamaican singer Tessanne Chin beat out powerhouse Jacquie Lee and Los Angeles musician Will Champlin, in the fifth season of “The Voice” .
In her audition, Tessanne, a 28-year-old vocalist who has toured with reggae legend Jimmy Cliff, had impressed the show’s four coaches with her powerful pipes and pinpoint precision. All four wanted to be her mentor, but she chose Adam Levine . Her performance of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” last week cemented her frontrunner status.
Tessanne hit all her marks on Monday night’s performance finale, with a reprise of her audition song, Pink’s anthem “Try”; a duet with Adam on the Beatles’ “Let It Be” , and her showstopper “I Have Nothing,” one of Whitney Houston’s signatures. Congratulations Tessanne!!! U DESERVED IT!

AMAZING PERFORMANCE!

Just before our love got lost you said
"I am as constant as a northern star"
And I said "Constantly in the darkness
Where's that at?
If you want me I'll be in the bar"

On the back of a cartoon coaster

In the blue TV screen light
I drew a map of Canada
Oh Canada
With your face sketched on it twice
Oh you're in my blood like holy wine
You taste so bitter and so sweet

Oh I could drink a case of you darling

Still I'd be on my feet
oh I would still be on my feet

Oh I am a lonely painter

I live in a box of paints
I'm frightened by the devil
And I'm drawn to those ones that ain't afraid

I remember that time you told me you said

"Love is touching souls"
Surely you touched mine
'Cause part of you pours out of me
In these lines from time to time
Oh, you're in my blood like holy wine
You taste so bitter and so sweet

Oh I could drink a case of you darling

And I would still be on my feet
I would still be on my feet

I met a woman

She had a mouth like yours
She knew your life
She knew your devils and your deeds
And she said
"Go to him, stay with him if you can
But be prepared to bleed"

Oh but you are in my blood

You're my holy wine
You're so bitter, bitter and so sweet

Oh, I could drink a case of you darling

Still I'd be on my feet
I would still be on my feet

A BRIEF HISTORY OF COSTUME DESIGN

We act as our own costume designer in our everyday lives.  We pick out what we are going to wear in the morning, whether it be carefully dressing to impress the cute girl in your class, or dressing in sweatpants and a t-shirt for a movement class, etc.  We dress certain ways in certain situations--church, job interview, party, the list goes on.  Our clothing says things about us--our position and status, gender, occupation, level of flamboyance or modesty, degree of conformity or independence, if we are dressed for work or leisure, etc.  Costumes on stage convey the same thing, but with some added objectives.

The first theatrical costumes were basically ceremonial robes.  In ancient Greece, the himation was a gownlike costume similar to the robes worn by the priests who chanted the choral odes.  Costumes in medieval drama were nearly identical to the robes worn by the priests who originated the liturgical texts.  The costumes in Japanese Noh drama are based in the spiritual rather than secular world.

It was a gradual change whereby we started to see costumes used to define a character.  In Elizabethan England, costumes were regal and ceremonial but were rarely used to establish character.  In Shakespeare’s time, it was common to see some actors wearing contemporary clothing alongside some who dressed for the period in which the play was set.  In the commedia dell’arte pieces of Renaissance Italy, costumes for recurring characters helped classify gender, occupation, age, education, etc.

Costuming more similar to what we know today came about in the 18th and 19th centuries when other more realistic elements began to dominate the Western theatre.

What's love??? Some nice love quotes...

Everyone says that loves hurts, but that's not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Everyone confuse these things with love but reality, love is the only thing in this world that covers up all the pain and makes us feel wonderful again.

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, no one can ever tear them apart.

We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly - Sam Keen, from To Love and Be Loved.

Love is a language spoken by everyone but understood only by the heart.

Beginnings are usually scary and endings are usually sad, but it's everything in between that makes it all worth living.

Falling in love is like jumping off a really tall building. Your brain tells you it is not a good idea, but your heart tells you, you can fly.

You really love him, don't you? a simple psychological question, no name was mentioned but suddenly someone came into your mind

You don't love someone because they're perfect, you love them in spite of the fact that they're not. - Jodi Picoult.

You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.  - Dr. Seuss.

You've got to dance like there's nobody watching. Love like you'll never be hurt. Sing like there's nobody listening. And live like it's heaven on earth. - William W. Purkey.

According to Greek mythology humans were originally created with 4 arms 4 legs and a head with 2 faces. Fearing their power, Zeus split them into two separate parts, condemning them to spend their lives in search of their other halves.

It’s not hard to find someone who tells you they love you, its hard to find someone who actually means it.

The truth about relationships...

One of the best quotes I've read ... and it's so damn true...I read this so many times and every single time it leaves me without a comment...it leaves me speechless...

The things women do to be pretty :)

From the copper and lead ore that the ancient Egyptians used to create the world's first cosmetics to the scientifically advanced products of today that can do everything from hide pores, smooth complexions, and turn the pale green of your eyes a vivid shade of emerald, makeup has been an integral part of humankind for thousands of years. Over the centuries, women used burnt matches to darken their eyes, berries to stain their lips and young boys' urine to fade their freckles. They even swallowed ox blood in some misguided attempt to improve their complexions.

Women throughout history put their health at risk with many of their homemade cosmetics. In some cultures, for example, women used arsenic, lead, mercury, and even leeches to give themselves the pale appearance deemed beautiful in the old days. Thankfully, we've come a long way from the days of using toxic and deadly mixtures to enhance our looks.Today's multibillion dollar cosmetic industry must meet strict government regulations about what it can and cannot include in products and must follow safe manufacturing guidelines. Today, the most serious injury you're likely to receive from your cosmetics is an irritation or a rash from using a product that's too harsh for your skin. Yet, despite decades of safety testing and a safety record unparalleled in many industries, there are many myths circulating about the dangers of cosmetic ingredients.

That's little bit of history...So now I would like to say something about makeup...I LOVE IT! I know that people talk about being beautiful from the inside is more important but I think that if being pretty from the outside makes you happy than that's ok too . I'm not saying that girls should be superficial walking dolls without brain I'm just saying that if makeup helps u feel better about yourself and if makes u feel more beautiful and it gives u confidence , than it's ok :) as long as the makeup helps and it's not used for hiding underneath it and as long as we can live without it that's ok too :) 'cuz makeup is not the evil thing that appeared in this world...If it's well used and it's not overdone it can make us feel awsome :) Sometimes it can give you so much confidence that you can feel like a SUPER GIRL for a moment ... Makeup is a work of art ...

A little bit of history that every girl would enjoy :)

Jewels were always part of human culture. Even from the times when humans first started using clothes and tools some 100.000 years ago, jewels were produced from any kind of materials that were available - stones, animal skins, feathers, plants, bones, shells, wood, and natural made semi-precious materials such as obsidian. As the time went on, advancing technology enabled artisans to start taming metals and precious gems into works of art that influenced entire cultures and many modern jewelry styles. However, even with all advancements of metallurgy and gem processing, the purpose of wearing jewelry always remained the same - they enabled wearer to express himself non-verbally, showcase wealth, rank, political and religious affiliation or affections toward someone. This enabled jewelry to become timeless and a target for constant development and refinement.
Development of early jewelry can be roughly divided across three ancient civilizations - Egypt, India and China. Egypt and Mesopotamia set standards in metallurgy, gem collecting, and glass manufacture. Their several thousand year long tradition of jewelry production laid a solid foundation for all European civilizations that came after them, and their unique style affected fashion trends even four thousand years later.
India however managed to develop such a connection to jewelry that it became integral part of their daily life and religion. Since they were the first who managed to conquer the art of gold gathering and processing, they develop art of jewel making much earlier than anyone in their environment. This made them one of the most sought destinations for trade, which eventually became driving force for the incredible expansion of European civilization during the Age of Discovery. On the far side of the world, China managed to become driving force in developing of arts and their influence slowly spread their unique style across entire Asia. Chinese style that is focused on scenes of nature, animals and dragons is today still in high popularity, and continues to be developed with each passing year.

A little interesting history I believe every girl would like to read :) I had fun hopefully you will too :)

A little about fashion design and the start of it :)

Fashion design is a form of art dedicated to the creation of clothing and other lifestyle accessories.Modern fashion design is divided into two basic categories: haute couture and ready-to-wear. The haute couture collection is dedicated to certain customers and is custom sized to fit these customers exactly. In order to qualify as a haute couture house, a designer has to be part of the Syndical Chamber for Haute Couture and show a new collection twice a year presenting a minimum of 35 different outfits each time.
Ready-to-wear collections are standard sized, not custom made, so they are more suitable for large production runs. They are also split into two categories: designer/createur and confection collections. Designer collections have a higher quality and finish as well as an unique design. They often represent a certain philosophy and are created to make a statement rather than for sale. Both ready-to-wear and haute-couture collections are presented on international catwalks.

The first fashion designer who was more than a simple seamster was Charles Frederick Worth, in the 19th century. Before he set up his fashion design house in Paris, clothing was made by anonymous dressmakers and fashion standards were derived from the styles worn by royalty. Worth was the first designer to actually dictate to his customers what to wear rather than following their demands.

His fashion house became so famous that people were able to attach a face and a name to designs when they knew they were from the House of Worth. This was the beginning of the tradition to have a designer of a house not only create clothing, but also represent the symbol of the brand.

Fashion design is a form of art. To work as a designer, you should have an artistic and creative personality. You also have to be good at drawing and able to express your ideas in sketches. You don't necessarily have to be a great artist, but you must have some special skills for combining colors, tones and shades. You also have to be able to work with fabric and use textiles in a creative and original manner. Fashion designers have a good visual imagination and are able to think in three-dimensions and put their ideas into garments.

Fashion designers have to be aware of the fashion market requirements. They have to be very interested in learning new things and read magazines, journals and books on fashion design history and new trends. They also have to be interested in art, visit art galleries and interact with all kinds of artists whenever they have the opportunity. A designer should also have some knowledge and experience of tailoring (cutting, draping, sewing etc.) and be able to tell the difference between different fabric quality levels.

A good understanding of the audience's lifestyle and customer needs and requirements is also needed in fashion design. Designers should have good communication skills and be able to express their ideas clearly. But most important, they have to be very original and have fresh, innovative ideas.

"Everybody lies" - some House MD quotes...I miss seeing him on screen...I loved that show :)

"Everybody lies."
"It's a basic truth of the human condition that everybody lies. The only variable is about what."
"We all make mistakes, and we all pay a price."
"Everybody does stupid things, it shouldn't cost them everything they want in life."
"There is not a thin line between love and hate. There is in fact a Great Wall of China with armed sentries posted every 20 feet between love and hate."
"If you can fake sincerity, you can fake pretty much anything."
"There's nothing in this universe that can't be explained. Eventually."
"You want to make things right?Too bad . Nothing's ever right ."

"Normal is overrated."
"People don't change. For example I'm gonna keep on repeating 'people don't change'. "

Some nice Paul Walker quotes...."If one day the speed kills me do not cry because I was smiling"

"You know, all that really matters is that the people you love are happy and healthy. Everything else is just sprinkles on the sundae."
"I live by 'Go big or go home.' That's with everything. It's like either commit and go for it or don't do it at all. I apply that to everything. I apply that to relationships, I apply that to like sports, I apply that to everything. That's what I live by. That's how I like it."
"I think my mom put it best. She said, 'Little girls soften their daddy's hearts.' "

Some Nelson Mandela quotes that truly inspire me...R.I.P. ...

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear."
"A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination."
"It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership."
"If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart."
"There is no passion to be found playing small - in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living."
"IT ALWAYS SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE UNTIL IT'S DONE"
"We must use time wisely and forever realize that the time is always ripe to do right."

Monroe saying....

Ok I love this woman :) Maybe she had some issues in her life but she was a smart girl...I love this quote from her and she's so right...nobody deserves u at ur best behavior if they can't stand u at your worst ... especially if that's a person that truly loves u like they say they do :) 'cuz when u love somebody u love everything about that person...u love how smart, cute , funny , beautiful , intelligent but also how dark , depressed , bitchy, impatient , insecure they can get , when they cry and yell a lot ... u love everything and you are there for that person 100% of the time . And if that's not the case then that's not the right person for u or you don't deserve love , cuz when u find the love of your life everything is easy ... It's so easy to love that person even though at times he/she gets on your nerves and you're so mad and angry at him/her ... So if you find that special person somewhere along the way and that person makes your life easier even when it's hard keep that person and make sure that he/she stays for the long ride... maybe this sounds cheesy but love is all that matters...

My unconditional love- ART

Art is a diverse range of human activities and the products of those activities; this article focuses primarily on the visual arts, which includes the creation of images or objects in fields including painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and other visual media. Architecture is often included as one of the visual arts; however, like the decorative arts, it involves the creation of objects where the practical considerations of use are essential—in a way that they usually are not in a painting, for example. Music, theatre, film, dance, and other performing arts, as well as literature and other media such as interactive media, are included in a broader definition of art or the arts. Until the 17th century, artreferred to any skill or mastery and was not differentiated from crafts or sciences, but in modern usage the fine arts, where aesthetic considerations are paramount, are distinguished from acquired skills in general, such as the decorative or applied arts.
Art may be characterized in terms of mimesis (its reflection of life), expression, communication of emotion, or other qualities. During the Romantic period, art came to be seen as "a special faculty of the human mind to be classified with religion and science ". Though the definition of what constitutes art is disputed and has changed over time, general descriptions mention an idea of imaginative or technical skill stemming from human agency and creation.
The nature of art, and related concepts such as creativity and interpretation, are explored in a branch of philosophy known as aesthetics.

THE VOICE

Ok...lately I've been obsessed with musical talent tv shows and I've watched a lot of them but I like The Voice the most...why? Because no one judges you by your looks they only worry about how you sing and how special your VOICE is :) Cuz everybody that watched it knows that in the beginning there are blind auditions and that's how the coaches choose their teams...no one knows who sings behind them they don't know how they look, how they are dressed, how's their hair and make up , are they slim or fat , if they're handicapped  or not , if u have a little more tattoos etc. They only care how good u sing and if u're special enough to be a star some day if u have a potential that the coaches can build up...So i watched all the seasons by now and i'm really impressed...I really like one thing especially. The surprised and shocked look on the judges faces when their chairs turn around and the voice and the person somehow don't match :) That's so funny :) I think that the blind auditions are great for the people that enter this show also cuz their stage fright is little bit less shown and they seem calmer on stage :) Also I love the judges...they're well known artists that can show so much and the singers can learn so much from them...they are well known artists that are intelligent, funny, with great carriers in the music business and every single one of them is unique...every single one of them has it's own area of expertise...People may say its just another talent show but it's not ... it's more than that :) I LOVE IT! :)
